Clothes 4 Kids
Remember the first day of school and how important it was to have nice clothes or a new outfit?
Clothes 4 Kids makes sure that kids that might not have new clothes, make that first day of school special. The building block of this program is children with self-confidence and starting all of them off on the right foot.
Clothes 4 Kids is a community response to a community wide problem. This allows the community the opportunity to participate in the life of a child by providing one set of new clothes for the first day of school.
Clothes 4 Kids is a national partnership among CBL & Associates Properties (Columbia Place Mall), Coca Cola and The Salvation Army. This effort is derived from the Angel Tree Program at Christmas, but focuses on clothes instead of toys. More than 60 malls in 27 states participate in this great effort.
In 2007, over 50 children were able to start school with a new outfit complete with new shoes.
